Tailwind
How the Elysium builder share comes back to you in HYPE, measured by gas, claimed with a Merkle proof.
Where the HYPE comes from
Elysium pays 25% of sequencer fees to the contracts that consume its blockspace. This is the builder share, described in the FAQ on the Elysium homepage.
Every other launchpad keeps it. ANEMOS sends 100% of it to the TailwindDistributor contract and gives it back to the people whose transactions generated it. 0% goes to the treasury.
Curves also expose forwardSurplus(). Any HYPE a curve receives that it did not account for, such as a builder share paid to the curve itself, is forwarded to the distributor.
How gas is measured
Tailwind runs in daily epochs, one per UTC day.
For each epoch, the ANEMOS indexer looks at every transaction an address sent to an ANEMOS contract:
- the factory (launches),
- the token curves (buys, sells, batch settlement),
- the router (pool trades),
- the Floor,
- the FeeRouter (creator claims),
- the TailwindDistributor (Tailwind claims).
For each address it sums gasUsed × effectiveGasPrice. That is the HYPE you actually spent on ANEMOS.
How it is split
The HYPE the distributor received for the epoch is split pro-rata to gas spent.
your share = epoch HYPE × your gas spent / total gas spent on ANEMOS
If you spent 2% of all the gas on ANEMOS in a day, you get 2% of that day's Tailwind.
Merkle claims
The indexer publishes each epoch as a Merkle tree at /tailwind/<epoch>.json. Leaves follow the OpenZeppelin StandardMerkleTree format for (address, uint256).
The distributor stores one root per epoch. A root can be set at most once every 20 hours, only by the Distributor role, and only if the contract holds enough HYPE to pay the whole epoch.
To claim, open Portfolio. The site reads the published tree, builds your proof in the browser and calls claim(epoch, amount, proof). Several epochs can be claimed in one transaction. Unclaimed amounts stay claimable.
The promise
- 100% of the builder share received by ANEMOS contracts is redistributed.
- 0% goes to the treasury.
- Every epoch's tree is public, so anyone can check the split.
Testnet simulation. Elysium testnet does not pay a builder share to ANEMOS yet. The deployer seeds the distributor with faucet HYPE so the flow can be used end to end. Tailwind amounts on testnet are labelled "testnet simulation". On mainnet the HYPE comes from the chain, and the amount depends on real sequencer fees.
